OVERVIEW
Canada
cruise ships sail to a variety of ports on both the Pacific (West) and
the Atlantic (East) coasts of Canada. West coast Canada cruises usually
have
Alaskaas
their main destination and tend to spend more time in the Alaska
waters, but on the way to Alaska they also spend some time in the
scenic and cosmopolitan city of Vancouver. Some Canada cruise ships
visit the historic city of Victoria. East coast Canada
cruises usually begin in Boston, Montreal, or New York, and
their ports of call include popular Canadian port cities of Halifax and
Quebec. Demand is high on Canada cruises and they usually sell for a
higher price than the Caribbean or other popular cruise destinations.

WHAT TO SEE ON CANADA
CRUISES
On
Canadian cruises, both the Pacific and the Atlantic one, perhaps the
main tourist attraction is northern nature itself- magnificent ruggest
coastal line and massive icefields, beautiful glaciers, boundless
forests, great mountains, abundant land and marine wildlife.
We also have to mention a chance for cruisers to explore Canada's
historical heritage on guided tours in cities like Montreal and Quebec
City on the East coast, Vancouver and Victoria on the West coast. Do
not forget to book shore excursions while on a Canada cruise, there
will be so much to see and appreciate. Major cruise lines offer many
shore excursions, some up to 100 different excursions!
CANADA
CRUISE LENGTH
4 to 14 days depending on the itinerary.
7-day cruises are the most popular ones on both coasts.
WHEN
TO CRUISE
When planning a cruise to Canada, you have to take into consideration
this country's northern climate and its often upredictable weather
which can turn to worse very fast, especially in the fall. Atlantic
Canada cruise season lasts from May through October,
and fall is the peak cruise season. For Pacific Canada cruises the most
popular
time is from early May to late September. In June-July the
daytime is the longest in the far Canadian north,
which will let you have more time to enjoy sightseeing and active
glaciers.

CRUISE TIPS
Do not forget to pack warm clothes,
multilayering is the best tactic. Binoculars would be very handy to
observe marine wildlife and the coast.
