BERMUDA CRUISES

Bermuda destinationOVERVIEW

Many people think that Bermuda is part of the Caribbean. In reality, Bermuda located hundreds of miles north of the Caribbean, and about 1,000 km (650 miles) from the Eastern United States. An overseas territory of the UK, the Bermuda archipelago consists of 140 separate islands, linked with each other by bridges. Bermuda Islands are famous for its spectacular coastal landscapes, magnificent beaches with white and pink sand, lush vegetation and unique wildlife. Local traditions and customs were strongly influenced by the British colonists, while US's and Caribbean's geographical closeness to Bermuda also provided influence on the islands' culture.

Most Bermuda cruises are single-destination voyages departing from a number of US ports, including Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Norfolk and Florida. There are three main ports on the main island: City of Hamilton, Town of St.George and King's Wharf. Some cruise ships stop at two different ports during a Bermuda cruise travel. We recommend you Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean Cruises as the best Bermuda cruise line choices.

Tips for cruisers to BermudaBERMUDA CRUISE TIPS

Visitors to Bermuda can not rent a car, but may only rent motor scooters, use the public bus system, or take taxis. Bermuda also has many restaurants featuring the island's distinctively spicy cuisine. Unfortunatley, unlike many Caribbean destinations, there are no tax-free port facilities in the Bermuda. Local stores are mostly upscale with particular emphasis on fine products from around the world and especially the UK.
